Who are we?

Our mission is to guide you in your journey to curiosity, learning, or simply developing the necessary skills to interact successfully with others in your personal or professional life. The insights from various experiences can help you achieve a sense of clarity on how to tackle a difficult challenge or simply come to a valuable aha moment in your professional or personal life.

The founders of this blog met at work and have found that sharing our ideas in little snippets of free time has really helped us to navigate some of the ups and downs that occur in the office. We have been and are still looking for answers on number of topics related to effective communication, the meaning of non-verbal communication, why words matter and the understanding of why people react differently to the same message, how stereotypes and upbringing environment influence our everyday choices or state of mind whether at work or at home. Join us in this wild adventure (our wildest yet) and have fun while reading our experiences and maybe learning some tools that can be useful to you.

Tricia Kidd

Hi, I am Tricia and I hope our blogs give you something easy and fun to read when you have a spare minute. Sometimes I’m sailing through life without a care and everything seems to be running smoothly. But other times, I’m tripping over issues at work or at home, where relationships or processes are not working ideally. Maybe something is crying for attention, or I’m a bit too tired or self-absorbed to look after it properly, or I just haven’t noticed what’s making me feel unhappy or uncomfortable. That’s the time when I just need to stop, breathe and reset. That’s usually the time when I listen most carefully to what friends or family or work colleagues are saying. Little snippets of other peoples’ thoughts and conversations can give me ideas that help me to unpick the little knots in my own life. So, I really don’t feel that I have the answers to anything, but I do believe that conversation can help. Sometimes anonymous conversation is what you need, because you’re not ready to share your thoughts or concerns with those who are close to you, but reading about it can give you a few little unlocking tools, to get you over some of life’s little mental obstacles. I love talking about all of these things with Vania. Writing them down is giving us lots of fun and energy, so if we can share that with you, we’re happy to do so.  Stay well and be your own best friend!

Vania Pokraeva

Hi, I am Vania and I am really happy that your curiosity brought you to our blog!

Let me start with this, I don’t have all the answers, but then again who does?

But I am always curious to learn something new and share my experiences.

As a child, one of my happy places was the library, reading books was equal to losing myself in a whole new world, I could be anywhere and be anyone. One of my happiest days back then was when I was old enough to pick a book from the library for 'grown-ups', suddenly there was this vast sea of books waiting for me to dive into. My interest for learning languages, reading different stories developed into studying History at the University and emigrating to another country and eventually continued studying in the field of Marketing.

Having this background and experience, I have come to understand with the years how important it is to have clarity on your values and beliefs, clarity on what you can expect from yourself and others. Not to mention that raising kids brings you to a whole new level of realization of how big the unknown is, how many more things you have to learn and new skills you need to develop. Having followed an NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) course couple of years ago my eyes were suddenly wide open in realizing how powerful this can be when you try to understand your emotions and what your view on the surrounding people and environment is; the growing number of factors that drive people to make certain choices, decisions, behaviour. I am one of those people who want to understand the cause of something, the reason behind, the question behind the question. Putting my thoughts on paper has helped me in answering some of those questions.
